FAQs

Who can apply to be a Featured Voice?

Anyone who is meaningfully involved in the restaurant or food world can apply. That includes chefs, restaurateurs, operators, sommeliers, bar managers, food writers, and food or restaurant content creators. We’re looking for people who care deeply about dining and want to share thoughtful recommendations with our community.

Does it cost anything to be featured?

No, it’s free. There is no cost to apply or to be featured as a voice on Umamii.

How long does it take to go live?

We aim to respond to applications within 1 business day. At busy times, it may take 2–3 business days. We’re still a very small team, but we do our best to move quickly.

Can I feature more than one restaurant?

Yes. Many of our chefs and restaurateurs are associated with more than one restaurant. You’re welcome to share recommendations from across all the concepts you’re involved with, as long as they reflect your genuine taste.

I am a creator, not a chef. Can I still apply?

Yes. We have several food and restaurant content creators featured as voices on Umamii. If you create thoughtful content around restaurants, dining, or food culture, we’d love to hear from you.
